Anel de psitão, em particular anel de pistão de compressão, incluindo uma superfície corrediça, áreas do flanco superior e inferior, uma área periférica interior e uma junta , a espessura da parede do anel de pistão sendo implementada como igual considerada ao longo de sua periferia e sendo as menos a superfície corrediça fornecida cin um revestimento PVD ou uma camada CVD de tal maneira que a camada de superfície corrediça tenha uma espessura de camada menor na área periférica próximo à junta do que na área periférica remanescente da superfície corrediça.
