SISTEMA E MÉTODO DE VEÍCULO. Em um exemplo, é fornecido um sistema de monitoramento lateral (100). O sistema de monitoramento (100) pode incluir um dispositivo lateral (112) e um controlador (80). O dispositivo lateral (112) pode detectar um ou mais parâmetros de funcionamento de um veículo (110) em um sistema de veículo (106) se movendo sobre um segmento de rota (108). O controlador (80) pode receber informações do dispositivo lateral (112) em relação ao menos os um ou mais parâmetros de funcionamento detectados, e pode controlar o movimento do veículo (110) direta ou indiretamente com base, ao menos em parte, nas informações recebidas.
