MECANISMO DE TRAVA DE SISTEMA DE ABERTURA E FECHAMENTO DE PORTAS DE VAGOES FERROVIARIOS E MÊETODO PARA OPERAR UM MECANISMO DE TRAVA. A presente invenção refere-se a um mecanismo de trava (10) de sistema de abertura e fechamento de portas de vagões ferroviários e um método para operar um mecanismo de trava. O mecanismo de trava (10) da presente invenção utiliza um rotor interno (40) e um posicionador (50) para impossibilitar que terceiros abram ou fechem as portas do vagão sem o conhecimento do operador. O método para operar um mecanismo de trava (10) da presente invenção permite o travamento ou destravamento do sistema de abertura e fechamento de portas através de uma interação de uma chave de mecanismo de trava (35) com um alojamento para encaixe de chave (43).
