Abstract
A presente patente de invenção descreve o uso de 4 compostos derivados indólicos [6-Cloro-2,3,4,9-tetrahidro-1H-carbazol, 6-Bromo-2,3,4,9-tetrahidro-1H-carbazol, 5-Cloro-2,3-dimetil-1H-indol e 5-Bromo-2,3-dimetil-1H-indol] com propriedades larvicidas como uma alternativa ao controle de populações de Aedes aegypti. Os compostos agem rapidamente sobre larvas em estágios iniciais de desenvolvimento podendo matar 100% das larvas em 10 minutos. Os compostos não apresentam toxicidade para organismos não alvos: algas (Chlorella. vulgaris BR017 e Scenedesmus obliquus BR003), nematódeos (Caenorhabditis elegans N2) e larvas de inseto (Galleria mellonella).
