Abstract
A presente invenção descreve um processo de oxidação seletiva de glicerol compreendendo um conjunto de etapas. Na primeira etapa, uma matéria-prima contendo glicerol e um agente oxidante são alimentados a um vaso de reação contendo um catalisador contendo óxido de ferro. Posteriormente, a matéria-prima contendo glicerol, o agente oxidante e dito catalisador contendo óxido de ferro são postos em contato a uma temperatura na faixa de 100 a 350°C, ocorrendo a reação de oxidação do glicerol.
