Este dispositivo de vedação (11, 12) para uma via férrea, a via férrea incluindo um alojamento (7, 8) que se estende entre uma face lateral de um trilho (2) e uma parede lateral de uma fenda (5) reservada no solo (1) para alojar o referido trilho, é distinguido por ser um dispositivo de vedação inserido no alojamento (7, 8) e fixado no alojamento (7, 8) por uma massa adequada (16), e por ser um perfil resilientemente deformável, para poder ser inserido sob tensão no alojamento e ser pressionado contra a face lateral do trilho (2) e a parede lateral da fenda (5).
