Abstract
A presente invenção descreve a síntese de nanocompósitos de polietileno por polimerização in situ utilizando como carga carbono ativado com níquel, que conferiram ao material propriedades magnéticas. As cargas foram obtidas a partir da pirólise da biomassa ativada com níquel. A presença do níquel mesmo em pequenos teores como 0,3% em peso confere ao material propriedades magnéticas. As propriedades mecânicas e térmicas do polímero aumentam com o aumento da carga.
