Abstract
A presente invenção se refere a um método de preparar um molde de fundição pelo processo de cold box (caixa fria) compreendendo um solvente de baixa toxicidade para diluição de resinas fenólica e poliuretânica, em que o diacetato de monoetilenoglicol é o solvente principal. O diacetato de monoetilenoglicol apresenta alta eficiência na solubilização além resistência mecânica e resistência à umidade dos moldes em comparação com a combinação de solventes oxigenados e aromáticos.
