A presente invenção se refere a uma membrana interna de segurança que separa o aeróstato internamente em duas ou mais câmaras, utilizando um tecido-barreira similar ao utilizado nos balonetes, de maneira a, na eventualidade do rompimento de qualquer segmento do envelope, reter uma parcela significativa do volume total do gás de sustentação, evitando, quando em voo, uma grande razão de descida. Esta divisória traz ainda como vantagens uma melhor imobilização do balonete onde ela é soldada, auxilia na identificação de eventuais vazamentos e diminui os prejuízos referentes à contaminação do gás de sustentação.
