APARELHO, E, MÉTODO PARA CONTROLAR A OPERAÇÃO DE UM MOTOR EM UMA AERONAVE. Um método e aparelho para controlar a operação de um motor (226) em uma aeronave (202). Um tempo (244) no qual a velocidade de corte (246) para a aeronave (202) será atingida, em que um fluxo de combustível (224) que deve ser parado é identificado. Um retardo (248) entre o envio de um comando (250) para mover um comutador (214) para uma posição desligada (222) e o tempo (244) no qual o motor (226) cessa a operação é também identificado. O comando (250) é enviado com base no tempo previsto (244) e o retardo (248). O comando (250) faz com que o comutador (214) se mova para a posição desligada (222) movendo um comutador de controle de combustível (238) para o motor (226) da aeronave (202) para uma posição desligada (242) para parar o fluxo de combustível (224) para o motor (226).
