A presente invenção descreve uma composição expandida compreendendo nanotubos de haloisita em matrizes poliméricas e um processo de expansão de poliolefinas para a obtenção de nanocompósitos apropriados para moldagem de artigos com alta resistência mecânica, excelente acabamento superficial e reciclabilidade, com melhoramento do isolamento térmico.
