A presente invenção refere-se a uma coberta de asa para uma caçamba de máquina de terraplenagem adaptada para ser posicionada pelo menos parcialmente em um adaptador de dente e/ou pelo menos parcialmente em uma placa lateral da caçamba para proteger as partes sensíveis ao desgaste de uma caçamba, onde a coberta de asa compreende pelo menos um mecanismo de travamento automático para uma conexão desprendível à caçamba.
