A presente invenção refere-se a um isolante térmico rígido de alto rendimento, composto por duas peliculas de poliméricos laminadas, ligadas entre si por uma alma, na qual a alma é constituída por um polímero termoplástico. A presente invenção forma uma barreira de ar e de vapor, bloqueia a radiação, e funciona como um isolante térmico rígido que controla todas as três formas de transferência de calor, convecção, radiação e condução
