Mark description

The mark consists of a shield design with a primary field colored black and an outer border colored yellow. Within the shield, the word "POLICE" appears in yellow, stylized, uppercase letters, arched across the upper portion of the black field. Positioned centrally below the word "POLICE" are two overlapping design elements. On the left is a representation of a wagon wheel depicted in brown. On the right, partially overlapping the wagon wheel, is a representation of a Native American-style headdress (war bonnet). The headdress features feathers primarily colored tan with brown tips and details, a headband featuring geometric patterns in red, yellow, and blue, and a circular yellow element near the base. The red numerals "1838" are superimposed over the lower portion of the headdress.  Beneath the main body of the shield is a stylized ribbon or banner, colored yellow with blue outlining and accents suggesting dimensionality.
