Mark description

The mark consists of a decorative label placed upon a jar of Maraschino cherries. The claimed label is comprised of a red colored octagon with outlined segments appearing in purple. At the center of the label against the red background appears the wording "HOTEL STARLINO" all in white capital letters and a stylized font and with the shadowing of the letters appearing in navy blue. The word "HOTEL" appears smaller and above the word "STARLINO". To the left and the right of the word "HOTEL" appears the wording "SELEZIONE DI" and "DAL 1906" in small white letters and thin horizontal white lines extend over the remainder of the word "STARLINO". Above and below this central text appears upward and downward purple block arches which, together with an outer silver border, create an interior oval seal. In the top arch, the word "MARASCHINO" appears in white letters with navy blue outlining. In the bottom arch, the word "CHERRIES" appears in white letters with navy blue outlining. The arches are outlined in silver borders. The silver lines around the arches also extend across the bottom of the top arch and the top of the bottom arch such that they create semicircles above and below the central "HOTEL STARLINO" wording. In the top semicircle appears a stylized semicircular antique elevator floor dial comprised of eleven white tear-dropped shapes fanning out from the center to represent the corresponding numbered floor. The numbers "1", "2", "3", "4", "5", "6", "7", "8", "9", "10", and "11" appear in white around the tear-drop shapes. A stylized purple dial arm which is outlined in navy blue points to the number 4. In the bottom semicircle appear the words "PERFETTO PER COCKTAILS" in white capital letters, Around the interior seal appear four additional purple segments outlined in silver. In the top segment appears the word "ITALY" in white letters and a stylized font. In the right segment appears the words "PERFETTO PER UN COSMOPOLITAN" and in the left segment appear the words "PER UN MANHATTAN PERFETTA" in white letters and a stylized font. A silver border connects the four outer purple segments, creating the inner border of the overall octagonal shape. Between the four outer purple segments appear ornate designs sketched in navy blue and white against the purple background. On the top left appears the design of an oak barrel surrounded by vines and cherries which extends into the plane of the interior purple arch. On the top right appears the design of a finger bell surrounded by vines and cherries hanging downward and extending into the purple side segment below. On the bottom left appears an ornate key with a tassel, surrounded by vines and cherries which wrap around the outer border. To the bottom right appears a design of a bell cap baring the words "HOTEL STARLINO" and surrounded by vines and cherries. The label is surrounded by two borders. The inner border is comprised of two thin white lines enclosing a pattern of short white and purple diagonal lines. The outer most border is plain silver. The dotted lines depicting the outline of the jar are not part of the mark and serve only to show the position of the mark on the goods.
