PUBLICATION AND ISSUE SECTION

Mark description

The mark consists of an Iberian style shield border. At the bottom of the shield is a ribbon with the words "VICTIMS of AMADAN" spelled out in a hand drawn rigid font. Near the center top, is the number zero. In the upper right corner of the shield is a semi-circle depicting the sun. Alternating long and short lines depicting sun rays emanating from the sun. Near the upper left corner of the background is a large cloud extending mid way down the left side of the image. The bottom of the cloud is obscured by the front wheel of the motorcycle. Part of that cloud suggests the silhouette of a woman blended in with the cloud. Two other smaller clouds are also in the background behind the man on the motorcycle. They both have fluffy tops with flat bottoms. One is near the center over the rider's right arm, the other is partially behind the rider's left arm. The image also depicts a man riding a motorcycle on an uncompleted road, giving the impression that the rider is about to ride off the edge. The rider's hair appears to be blowing in the wind. He is smiling. He has a goatee. He's wearing a t-shirt, vest, checkered kilt and a boot. The rider's arms are spread out wide like a bird spreading its wings. His left hand over-lapping and extending past the shield border. The rider's upper thigh, knee and lower leg are bare exposing the hairs on his leg. The rider is on a typical cruiser style motorcycle. The motorcycle appears to be moving from right to left. The motorcycle imagery includes the front wheel complete with tire and solid rim, large front fender, forks, headlight in a round housing, handlebars with grips and control levers. The image includes a two colored, tear drop shaped gas tank. Under the gas tank is an exposed V-Twin type motor and foot peg, where the rider's booted foot is set. The design also includes an exhaust pipe, a saddlebag with a small circle between a pair of wings, and a rear tire. The motorcycle appears to be on the wrong side of the road (For U.S. Drivers). There are two single broken lane lines to the left of the rider. The road has a tuft of grass on the left side. The road appears to be incomplete or broken exposing 3 layers of asphalt and bare earth below it. The edge of the road is designed in such a way as to give the impression of a large drop or fall if someone was to continue past the edge. Vertical squiggly lines on the bare earth section are made to imply a rough texture. On the right of the broken lane lines is a little dog running alongside the rider. It is a two colored dog with a spot over its eye and on its rump. The dog is wearing a collar with a circular tag. Its mouth is open, perhaps panting or barking.
