Mark description

The mark consists of A thin black scalloped circle outside a thin white scalloped circle outside a thick black scalloped line outside a white circle that has the words "AMERICAN ACADEMY of ORTHOTISTS and PROSTHETISTS" circling the top half of the circle, and the letters "MCMLXX" on the lower half of the circle. Inside there is a thin black line, and in the middle of the circle there are the letters "AAOP" outlined that diagonally run down from the left side to bottom of the circle. There is a man holding a torch walking up the letters, with one foot on the "P" and one foot on the "O". To the left of the man, above the letters "AA" there is a picture of a laurel wreath, with an open book in the middle.
