Mark description

The mark consists of a yellow, horizontal, rectangular can label containing a main section with the following elements, from top to bottom: a line of text stating "AUTHENTIC MEXICAN SAUCES" in black, with a thin red triangle on either side of the text pointing away from the text; a red, horizontally oriented rectangle outlined in dark red and very dark red with the term "Val Vita" written in white block letters with black outline; the term "HOT & SPICY" written in red and dark red block letters with white outline and black shading; the term "TOMATO SAUCE" written immediately below "HOT & SPICY" in black block lettering; to the right of "HOT & SPICY" and "TOMATO SAUCE" is a vertically oriented depiction of a thermometer in white outlined in black with three black markers placed equidistance from each other along the vertical of the thermometer with a red filling reaching the second highest marker and a black triangle located just outside the right side of the thermometer pointing at the marker which the red filling reaches; Above and below the thermometer are the terms black terms "MEDIUM" and "PICOR MEDIO" respectively; along the bottom of this section of the label, from left to right, are images of half a white onion with gray accents, light yellow chili with a green, light green and black stem, and red and light red tomato with a green and black stem. Additionally, there are two white rectangles with a vertical orientation surrounded by dotted lines; the dotted lines and area enclosed by the dotted lines is not claimed as a feature of the mark, and one white rectangle is to the left of the main section and on the lower half of the overall label; the other rectangle is to the right of the main section and occupies the upper 80 percent of the label. The white rectangle on the right edge in the drawing is background area which is not a part of the mark.
