The mark consists of a circular seal design comprised of a circular border and smaller octagonal border inset. Between the borders is the wording "LIBERTY UNIVERSITY" at the top and "LAW" at the bottom, with an olive branch on either side of the "LAW" wording. In the center of the design and slightly overlapping the borders of the octagon is a design of a shield, divided in the center horizontally, with an antique apothecary scale design in the top half, and in the bottom half a trowel, sword, and flame arranged from left to right. At the top of the shield and intersecting the octagon is a stylized design of an ornamental Greek cross on a stand. A book design appears over the bottom portion of the shield and overlapping the octagon.
