Mark description

The mark consists of a shield separated into four sections appearing within the innermost of two concentric circles. The innermost concentric circle is shaded red and a circular white band separates in the innermost and outermost circles. The outermost concentric circle is blue and includes the white wording "LOYOLA MARYMOUNT UNIVERSITY" on the top and the white wording "FOUNDED 1911" on the bottom with a small white circle separating the top and bottom wording on right and left hand side of the circle. In the top left corner of the shield are the red letters "I H S" with a red cross appearing on top of the "H". In the top right corner of the shield appears a white heart with a blue sash and white crown, all within a shaded blue square. In the lower left corner of the shield is a stylized pair of white wings and a blue plus sign outlined in white, all within shaded blue triangular shape. In the lower right corner of the shield is a stylized image of a lion's white face with red eyes, mouth, nose, and mane.
