Mark description

The mark consists of a large gold Maltese Cross figure bisected diagonally with two Pickhead axes colored silver, red, with brown handles with two lines running from the head to the bottom of the axe handle; the 4 arms of the Maltese Cross are black and feature a black fire hydrant on the left arm, the word "Established" in black italics on the top arm, a black fire ladder and black Pike pole are crossed as an X on the right arm, and the number "1900" on the bottom arm also in black; the center of the Maltese Cross is a circle on which appears a red Star of Life and white Rod of Asclepius. The background is not claimed as a feature of the mark. An arching white banner stretches from the upper neck of the left Pickaxe across to the upper neck of the right Pickaxe above the Maltese cross and contains black bold text that reads "ALBUQUERQUE". An inverted arching white banner stretches from just above the bottom handle on the left Pickaxe across to just above the bottom handle on the right Pickaxe below the Maltese cross and contains black bold text that reads "FIRE RESCUE".
