Mark description

The mark consists of a gas station canopy fascia applied to which is a blue stripe extending partially over the length of the fascia above a narrower red stripe extending over the length of the fascia, all over a white background; the word "MARATHON" is in blue near the end of the fascia over the red stripe at the front and again in blue near the end of the fascia on the other side. Below the canopy are four columns clad in white, silver and blue, where white appears on the top portion of the columns, where silver appears near the middle of the columns as a small band, and where blue appears on the remaining lower portion of the columns as a large band. The color(s) blue and white is/are claimed as a feature of a retail convenience store fascia applied to which is a blue stripe extending over the length of the fascia above a narrower white stripe, which is over a narrow white stripe extending over the length of the fascia; the words "FOOD CENTER" are in white over the wider blue stripe near the center of the fascia.
