Mark description

The mark consists of a rectangular image outlined in black of male athletes waving. The athletes are arranged in two rows that recede from right to left. In the front right is a black-haired athlete with beige and grey skin, red lips, black outlined features and wearing a white and grey cloth around his waist. To the left of the first athlete, and slightly behind him, is a black-haired athlete with beige and grey, red lips, black outlined features also wearing a white and grey cloth around his waist. The second athlete has his hand around the first man's left shoulder. To the left of the second athlete, and partially obscured by him, is a third black-haired beige and grey skinned athlete with red lips and black outlined features. Behind the first row is a mostly obscured second row of athletes with black hair, beige and grey skin and with black outlined features. In total, eight hands are raised in front of a background of billowing cloth. The cloth is blue on the right side, white in the center, and red on the left side with black and grey outlines and shading. In the upper left corner, written in black letters, are the words "VIIIe OLYMPIADE" over the small faint black signature "JEAN DROIT". At the top right of the image, in front of the blue cloth, are small rectangular stamps in, from left to right, blue, pink, and beige. From left to right the stamps contain the number "15", "45" and "60" followed by the cents symbol. Below the athletes are crossed green fronds with black highlights tied together with a red and blue ribbon. The left frond is partially obscured by a shield that is tipped to the left. The shield is predominantly red with a golden border and a blue stripe across the top. Centered on the shield is a yellow double-mast sailing vessel with oars partially submerged in the golden stylized waves. Four rigging lines protrude from the left-side of the vessel to a crenelated tower and flag that protrudes from the tops of the crest. A golden fleur-de-lis design is on the left side of the shield's blue band. At the bottom of the image, written in stylized white font with a black border, are the words "JEUX OLYMPIQUES". The image is set against a beige rectangle. In the top border, written in black stylized letters, are the words "PARIS _ 1924".
