Mark description

The mark consists of an image of an ancient Greek structure with ornate design in brown marble with gold highlighting and grey and black shading. Gold dots appear near the top above a gold stripe. Below that appears the design of two ornate columns in brown and shaded and highlighted in grey and gold. In the upper left-hand corner are the gold numbers "776 - 1896" above a garland of flowers in gold, grey and brown. To the right of that are carvings of ten-and-a-half athletes in brown and outlined in grey depicted in various poses on a gold background. A gold, brown and grey triangle appears at the upper right corner of the mark next to the athletes. The structure is supported by ionic columns in brown, grey and gold wrapped in garland in brown, grey and gold. On the right-hand side, between the two columns, is a vista with black and grey trees, and hills, columns, structures, and a stadium all in brown with grey highlights and outlining. Stylized Greek letters are written in gold and partially outlined in black at the top of the vista. On the left side of the mark is an image of a brown woman wearing a brown, grey, and black robe with a gold belt buckle and a brown and grey shawl and shoes. The woman is holding a brown and black laurel wreath in her right hand and a gold, black and brown plant with her left hand. The woman stands on brown stone steps highlighted in grey. Written on the steps are the French words "LES JEUX OLYMPIQUES", in brown and outlined in black above the Greek and French words "ATHINE-ATHÈNES" in black. To the right of the woman is a picture of a kneeling child with scarf all in brown with grey highlights and outlining in a gold frame. At the bottom right corner are plants in gold, grey, brown and black behind two stone slabs in brown and outlined in grey. The slab at the bottom right of the mark is carved with the Greek letters in black, and is partially covered by a gold, grey and black triangle.
