Mark description

The mark consists of a seal and shield design. The shield design with a black inner border, a thicker gold middle border and thin black outer border comprises six pine-cones appearing in the colors gold and black, a stylized crown of thorns appearing in the color gold and blue and outlined in black enclosing a passion cross issuant from the Greek letter H between an I and an S all appearing in the color gold and outlined in black, above three passion nails, one palewise between two bendwise and appearing in the colors gold and red, these designs on a red background, above are three squares with the outer two squares incorporating two bunches of grapes, stalked proper, appearing in the color blue each with a black twig on a white background, the middle square features a stag appearing in the color gold and outlined in black bearing a Paschal banner appearing in the colors red, gold and black, and with four white bars divided by black bars. Encircling the base of the shield is a scroll appearing in the color silver and outlined in black bearing the school motto: "PER FIDEM AD PLENAM VERITATEM" appearing in the color black. The shield is placed on a background of blue and encircled with a red band edged with gold and black borders with the inscription therein: "Fairfield College Preparatory School A. D. 1942" with two designs of crosses between the wording "A D 1942" also in gold.
