Mark description

The mark consists of a design against a black background. The words RIGA and BALZAMS appear at the top and bottom portion of the design in gold letters outlined in white. There is a design of a castle at the top of the design with two banners spreading out on either side. The banner on the left contains the words "HERBAL BITTER" and the banner on the right contains the words "PRODUCT OF LATVIA." The banners are outlined in gold against a black background, the castle is in gold, and the words, HERBAL BITTER and PRODUCT OF LATVIA, are in gold letters outlined in white. Above the castle are two gold keys that overlap and above the keys is a gold cross. Around the top and edges of the design are elaborate swirls, leaf-type objects, and flower garlands, all in gold. In the center of the design is a gold-trimmed section that is filled with the color bronze. The words BLACK, BALSAM and SINCE 1752 are enclosed within this section, in black letters with gold trim. To the left of the words SINCE 1752 is the word RIGAS in gold letters outlined in white and to the right the word MELNAIS in gold letters outlined in white. Below the word BALZAMS is a series of oval and circular shaped medallion-like objects with writing and drawings contained therein, all in bronze against a black background.
