A numeração das figuras deverá obedecer ao seguinte padrão, sempre com dois algarismos: objeto principal (Fig. 1.1, Fig. 1.2, Fig 1.3, etc); primeira variação configurativa (Fig. 2.1, Fig. 2.2, Fig 2.3, etc); segunda variação configurativa (Fig. 3.1, Fig. 3.2, Fig 3.3, etc), e assim por diante.
