Within the inner circle is another shield in gold and outlined in black, the word "CONNECTICUT" in blue spanning the top of the circle form left to right and the words "STATE POLICE UNION" in blue spanning the bottom of the circle from left to right. Under the circle is the year "1981" in blue. In the center of the mark is a gold shield design outlined in black featuring gold flower designs outlined in black and three black designs each consisting of horizontal, vertical, and curved black lines and four black flowers. Below the center shield of a gold banner outlined in black containing the wording "QUI TRANSTULIT SUSTINET" in black. The black background represents a transparent background and is not claimed as a feature of the mark.
