The mark consists of a white background containing a gray lined circle with two concentric lined yellow circles inside of it. Between the yellow circles is the wording "THE RETIRED ENLISTED ASSOCIATION" in black stylized characters and a blue star at the bottom. In the center of the design is a yellow eagle with black lining, a white head, a white tail, and a yellow beak, displayed over the top of a stylized American flag made of red and white stripes and a blue area containing white stars. The wings of the eagle protrude slightly into the double yellow circle outline. Beneath the eagle and overlaid on top of the American flag are three wavy blue lines with the wording "UNITED STATES", "OF AMERICA", and "ARMED FORCES", each written in white stylized characters.
