Trade association services, namely, promoting the interests of persons involved in setting technology standards and ensuring fair patent licensing relative to technology standards; promoting public awareness of the need for technology standards set by standards setting organizations; promoting public awareness of the need to ensure fair patent licensing, including relative to standards essential patents, and the need for agreements by owners of standards essential patents to abide by fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory (FRAND) licensing commitments; promoting public awareness of the potential for abusive licensing and enforcement practices by owners of standard essential patents; lobbying services, namely, promoting the interests of technology standards stakeholders through the promotion of appropriate legislation and regulations, and through the promotion of the importance of voluntarily abiding by FRAND licensing commitments to both standards setting organizations and their members; arranging and conducting special events in the fields of technology, standards setting organizations, standard essential patents, and fair patent licensing practices
