The mark consists of a design of a half sun outlined in black with two horizontal black lines separating three toned colors, in the following order from top to bottom, red, orange and yellow with two black sea gull shapes flying in the orange and yellow sections of the half sun, with the words "OCEAN CITY MARYLAND" underneath and a blue and white marlin figure jumping out of the top of the letter "O" with the words "OCEAN CITY" in blue and the word "MARYLAND" in black, with the half sun and wording outlined in blue. The color white used in the marlin shape is a feature of the mark but the white color of the backgrounds represents transparent and is not a feature of the mark
