The mark consists of a design of a map outline of the state of Durango colored in blue with a gray outline and black shadowing. Contained within the state is an illustration of the state flag featuring a gold and black colored shield topped by a crown made up of red fabric with a gold circlet and gold arches and featuring blue, green and red gems. The shield features green laurel leaves on the left and right surrounding an oval shape with colored in red with black outlines. Within the oval shape is a landscape scene with white background and green grass containing a tree with green leaves and a brown trunk where two black horses surround the trunk. Overlapping the map outline and state flag shield design is the wording "DURANGO FEST" written in text stylized with multiple outlines so that the interior of each letter is colored in white with a black outline surrounded by red on each side, the red outlined in black and then with a further external white surrounding having a black outline, the stylized text also featuring black shadowing. The white background indicates transparent area and is not a part of the mark.
