Mark description

The mark consists of a two-part label that is affixed to the front of the body of the bottle in which the goods are sold, with the smaller label positioned above the larger label. The top label is diamond shaped with three narrow borders that are, from outer to inner, silver, white, and silver. Inside is another diamond shape/lozenge with, at its center, an ornate drawing of an anchor in dark blue on a gray background, and a small white anchor at each of the four corners. In between the outer and inner diamonds is a wide white band with the word "ABSINTHE" in silver in the upper left and lower left quadrants and the word "SUPERIEURE" in silver in the upper right and lower right quadrants. The lower label is a relatively large white rectangle with beveled corners and four borders that are, from outer to inner, white, silver, white, and dark blue. At the top center of the rectangle is a dark blue oval with an outer gray border, an inner white border, the number "1805" in white across the center, the word "MAISON" in white above the number, and the words "FONDEE EN" in white below the number. Extending out from the left and right sides of the oval are ribbons in gray with "PARIS" written in dark blue at the left and "FRANCE" in dark blue at the right. Extending out from behind the oval and the ribbons are blossoms outlined in silver on white. Below the oval is a red rectangle with beveled corners, an outer silver border, an inner white border, and the word "PERNOD" in white lettering. Below the red rectangle is a dark blue rectangle with beveled edges, with an outer silver border and an inner white border. Below the dark blue rectangle is the signature "PERNOD FILS" in silver script. Below that is a white ribbon outlined in silver with wording that reads, from left to right, "LONDON PARIS NEW YORK SYDNEY TOKYO" in silver. Extending out from behind the ribbon are blossoms outlined in silver on white.
