The mark consists of 3-dimensional configuration of a clear bottle and cap, with a white label having a rectangular shape which is arched at the top, the label having a border of gold and blue with a white pattern, an internal border in light green with an image of a coin and laurel wreath in light green; at the top of the label is a yellow shield device having gold coins flanking either side, below that the words "ESTD. 1888" in gold, "OUZO" in gold outline, with blue and white horizontal stripes, "BY" in blue, "METAXA" in black with gold outline; below the wording are two shield and crown devices having a yellow background, red curtains, gold crown, one of the shields having a green shield within and the other having a red shield within; below that is a signature "S. Metaxa" in red; from the top of the main label extends a vertical strip in white with a gold border and the words in gold "Since 1888"; at the top of the strip is an oval label portion in blue with white and gold border, inside having the words "GRAND PRIX" in dark blue, and superimposed on those words is "S.&E. & A. METAXA" in white; a bottle cap in black with a gold lid portion, and at the bottom portion of the cap a black band with gold border and a signature "S. Metaxa" in gold.
