Abstract
PATENTE DE INVENÇÃO: "FRAGMENTO DE ÁCIDO NUCLÉICO CODIFICANDO ACETOLACTATO SINTASE DE PLANTA RESISTENTE A HERBICIDA" . É descrito um fragmento de ácido nucléico codificando uma proteína de acetolactato sintase de vegetal resistente a herbicida. Este fragmento de ácido nucléico contém pelo menos uma mutação de nucleotídeo resultante em uma mudança de aminoácido em uma dentre sete regiões substancialmente conservadas da homologia de aminoácido de acetolactato sintase. Esta mutação resulta na produção de uma proteína de acetolactato sintase que é resistente aos compostos herbicidas de sulfoniluréia em comparação com a proteína de tipo silvestre. A transformação de plantas ou células de plantas sensíveis a herbicida com o fragmento resulta em resistência para o herbicida.
