Patente de Invenção de "PROCESSO PARA PRODUÇÃO DE XILITOL A PARTIR DE SOLUÇÃO DE XILOSE AQUOSA". Um processo para a produção de xilitol a partir de uma solução de xilose aquosa que compreende as etapas de fermentar solução de xilose aquosa com uma cepa de levedo capaz de converter a xilose livre em xilitol, e liberar hexoses presentes na solução em etanol por um período de tempo suficiente para produzir uma solução fermentada contendo xilitol; e separar uma ou várias frações ricas em xilitol através da separação cromatográfica a partir da solução em fermentação.
