Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "FORNECIMENTO IN VIVO DE NEUROTRANSMISSORES POR MEIO DE CÉLULAS ENCAPSULADAS IMPLANTADAS" . Métodos e dispositivos são descritos para o fornecimento de neurotransmissores a partir de uma cultura de células secretoras de neurotransmissores para uma região de alvo de uma pessoa. A cultura de célula é mantida dentro de uma membrana semipermeável, biocompatível a qual permite a difusão de neurotransmissores através da mesma enquanto excluindo o acesso de vírus, anticorpos, e de outros agentes prejudiciais presentes no ambiente externo. O dispositivos de cultura de célula implantáveis são descritos, alguns dos quais podem ser recuperados a partir da pessoa, substituídos ou recarregados com novas culturas de células secretoras de neurotransmissores, e reimplantadas.
