Os derivados de 10, 11-metano dibenzo suberano, isto é, os compostos da fórmula I: na qual: A é -CH~ 2~-CH~ 2~-, -CH~ 2~-CHR^ a^-CH~ 2~-, ou -CH~ 2~-CHR^ b^-CH~ 2~- onde um dentre R^ a^ ou R^ b^ é H, OH, ou aciloxila inferior e o outro é H; R^ 1^ é H, F, Cl, ou Br; R^ 2^ é H, F, Cl, ou Br; e R^ 3^ é heteroarila ou fenila opcionalmente substituída com F, Cl, Br, CF~ 3~, CN, NO~ 2~ ou OCHF~ 2~; e os sais farmaceuticamente aceitáveis dos mesmos, são agentes quimiosensibilizadores úteis, por exemplo para quimioterapia do câncer, particularmente para o tratamento da resistência a múltiplos medicamentos.
