A presente invenção refere-se a 8-cloro-11-[1-[(5-metil-3-piridil) metil]-4-piperidilideno]-6,11-di-hidro05H-benzo[5,6] ciclo hepta [1,2-b]-piridina, a qual é um poderoso antagonista de PAF e anti-histamínico. A presente invenção refere-se também a um processo par a a sua produção, aos compostos farmacêuticos que contêm o produto da presente invenção e à sua utilização na fabricação de medicamentos úteis no tratamento de doenças que envolvam PAF e/ou histamina.
