Abstract
"VACINA" Esta invenção se refere a três grupos distintos recentemente identificados de peptídeos antigênicos [ peptídeos LB1 (f)] da mesma região de proteína de fimbrina semelhante a P5 descoberta usando os dados de seqüência de proteína de fimbrina de muitas cepas de Haemophilus influenzae. A invenção adicionalmente provê polipeptídeos quiméricos que transportam um ou mais representantes de tais peptídeos de grupos diferentes e que induzem uma resposta imunogênica a Haemophilus influenzae em animais. Os peptídeos e polipeptídeos da invenção serão úteis em composições de vacina que fornecem proteção contra uma ampla faixa de cepas H. influenzae.
