Para uma parte inferior (4) de calçados (2, 3), um elemento de comportamento rígido ou pelo menos semi-rígido adequado para uso como a unidade de sola ou como uma palmilha ou suporte de pé interno para o calçado, esta última compreendendo uma gáspea (7) associada com a parte inferior (4) do calçado. O dito elemento (1) compreende pelo menos três partes superpostas mutuamente associadas (13, 14, 15) definindo uma estrutura de sanduíche (1A); as partes externas (13, 14) possuindo uma rigidez maior que a parte interna (15), estas partes sendo estavelmente unidas para formar um corpo único (1A).
