Esta invenção é para desenvolver novos catalisadores de metal de transição para a síntese prática de moléculas quirais importantes. A invenção enfatiza catálise assimétrica com base nos ligandos de fosfina bidentados quirais com estruturas de anel cíclicas que poderiam ser usadas para restringir flexibilidade conformacional dos ligandos e assim a eficiência de transferência quiral pode ser aumentada através da rigidez de ligando.
