Composições aromatizantes melhoradas contendo pelo menos um agente aromatizante e uma quantidade efetiva de N-etil-p-mentano-3-carboxamida são fornecidas. A N-etil-p-mentano-3-carboxamida está presente em uma quantidade de cerca de 0,04 a cerca de 2,2% em peso da composição aromatizante melhorada. A invenção refere-se adicionalmente a gomas de mascar e a composições de confeitaria contendo uma quantidade efetiva aromatizante das composições aromatizantes melhoradas.
