É divulgado um processo para produzir um quelato ácido aminopolicarboxílico com estabilidade a longo prazo melhorada. O processo envolve aquecer uma mistura de óxido de ferro, amônia e quelante ácido aminopolicarboxílico a uma temperatura elevada durante um tempo suficiente para melhorar a estabilidade do quelato formado.
