Processo para a preparação de partículas poliméricas contendo um polímero de vinil-areno, cujo o processo compreende as etapas de: reagir um monômero vinil-areno juntamente com um composto copolimerizável contendo um grupo polar e um grupo vilínico em um grau de conversão de 20 a 70%; suspender a massa pré-polimerizada; e polimerizar o monômero vinil-areno nas gotículas suspensas.
