Abstract
"ESPUMA DE POLÍMERO", preparada pela dispersão de material de camadas múltiplas organofílicos em um fundido compreendendo um polímero olefínico ou estirênico tendo funcionalidade polar, de modo que pelo menos uma porção do polímero seja intercalada entre as camadas das partículas e expandindo o polímero com um agente de expansão sob esta condição para formar a espuma de polímero. O material de camadas múltiplas organofílico pode, também, ser disperso em um monômero olefínico ou estirênico, que pode, então, ser polimerizado para formar um fundido de polímero antes, ou juntamente, da a etapa de espumação.
