"ELEMENTO DE PTFE INTEGRAL ALONGADO, FIBRA, ARTIGO TRANÇADO, ARTIGO DENTÁRIO E PROCESSOS DE FORMAÇÃO DE UM ELEMENTO DE PTFE INTEGRAL ALONGADO E DE FABRICAÇÃO DE UM ARTIGO DENTÁRIO". Um elemento PTFE (politetrafluoroetileno) alongado é formado, tendo uma matriz de PTFE e contendo um material aditivo solúvel em água na forma de partículas sólidas distribuída dentro da matriz. Os elementos PTFE podem ser fitas trançadas ou não trançadas, e uma pluralidade de elementos que podem ser trançados juntos para formar uma fibra. Tais elementos ou fibras podem ser formadas em artigos para uso em odontologia, tais como fio dental, ou em suturas medicinais, malha de filtro trançada e outros artigos não odontológicos.
