Abstract

"PROCESSO DE DETERMINAR UMA CARACTERÍSTICA DE UM MATERIAL SELECIONADO DENTRE FORMAÇÃO DE ROCHA E CIMENTO". A invenção diz respeito a um processo de determinar uma característica de um material selecionado da formação de rocha e cimento, material esse que circunda um furo de sondagem (poço) contendo um fluido. O processo compreende posicionar um sensor acústico em uma posição selecionada no furo de sondagem, o sensor acústico sendo adequado para prover sinais representando a emissão acústica do dito material, aplicar uma pressão selecionada ao fluido, dessa forma induzindo tensões mecânicas no dito material, ditas tensões induzindo emissão acústica do referido material. O tensor é induzido para detectar a emissão acústica e para prover um sinal representando a emissão acústica. A característica é determinada do dito sinal e da pressão aplicada ao fluido.
