Abstract
Patente de Invenção: "SISTEMA DE COMUNICAÇÃO POR SATÉLITE TENDO MONITORAÇÀO E CONTROLE DA EXPOSIÇÃO DO USUÁRIO A RADIOFREQÜÊNCIA" . Um método e sistema no qual um sistema de gateway (18) determina se uma média calculada da densidade da potência transmitida associada com a antena do terminal do usuário vai se igualar ou exceder no mínimo um de um nível de limiar predeterminado, dentro de um período de t empo especificado, ou um nível de limiar absoluto. Se o gateway determinadar que um limiar vai ser provavelmente excedido se a conexão de chamada for mantida o gateway encerra a conexão. Pode ser empregado um indicador de visual ou de tom para advertir o usuário que a conexão em andamento vai ser encerrada. São feitas provisões para possibilitar que tipos de chamadas predeterminados, por exemplo, chamadas de emergência, sejam feitas durante o período de interrupção no qual o terminal do usuário está impedido de comandar chamadas adicionais.
