Um processo para a preparação de composto de agrupamentos mononucleares por reação de uma carbonila de metal com iodo, e o uso destes agrupamentos e de agrupamentos derivados dos mesmos, na formação de imagem para diagnóstico. São também descritos novos composto de agrupamentos multinucleares.
